National reference laboratories and their partners in epidemiology:
EMGM encourages all European countries to submit two abstracts: one for a poster on the epi­de­miology of meningococcal disease (2015/2016) and one for a poster on the epidemiology of Haemophilus influenzae disease (2015/2016).

Guidelines for Submission

  • All abstracts must be submitted in English.
  • Abstract cannot exceeds a limit of 400 words (excluding title, authors, affiliations, references and keywords).
  • Your abstract is structured as follows: Introduction, Aims, Materials and Methods, Results, Conclusion, References.
  • Each heading should be in a separate paragraph:

    Introduction
    Followed by regular text, on a new line.

    Aims
    Followed by regular text, on a new line.

    Materials and Methods
    Followed by regular text, on a new line.

    Results
    Followed by regular text, on a new line.

    Conclusion
    Followed by regular text, on a new line.

    References

  • Standard abbreviations do not need explanation. Otherwise, abbreviations must be defined in brackets after when first used in the text.
  • When you list references use superscript numbers in both the text and the reference list.

An automatically generated confirmation will be sent to the email address of the contact person after an abstract submission. If you will not receive it in one hour (and it will not be either in your spam folder), please contact us at abstracts-emgm2017@guarant.eu.

If changes to your submitted abstract are necessary, please contact us by email address above at any time before the deadline. Please do not submit the abstract more times.

Authors will be notified of the acceptance/rejection of their abstract by email by June 1, 2017.

Author’s Registration

Please note that registration of the presenting author is mandatory for each accepted contribution. The deadline for the presenting author’s registration will be in June 15, 2017. If the presenting author has not registered by this date, the presentation will be withdrawn from the program.

Publication of Abstracts

The authors of submitted abstracts agree with their abstracts publishing (without reviewing) in the Abstract Book (electronical version) to be distributed to all participants at the congress. As in the previous years, the abstract book will be made available at www.emgm.eu. Authors who do not agree to publication at www.emgm.eu, should select this choice in the abstract submission form.
